MPA would like to announce that we are introducing walk in availability for our established Patients. You may now be seen by walk in appointment for acute concerns! We are tying to make our clinic more accessible to you and your family and this is another way we are doing that.

Who will I see?
You will be seen by the first available clinician as soon as we can get to you. We brought our Nurse Practitioner, Tokkie Orogbemi, on board for this purpose, but if she is gone or busy, another clinician will get to you ASAP.

When is the walk in clinic available?
On regular business days, walk in appointments will be available from 8:30am - 11am and 1:30 - 4pm. On holidays and Saturdays, when only one clinician is in the office, we ask that you call to schedule an appointment. You should also be aware that on Friday afternoons, if the clinic is slow, we may close early.

Who can be seen?
Only patients of MPA. Although we are accepting new patients.

Why should I bring my child to a walk in visit?
Walk in visits are for acute concerns such as fever, cough, sore throat, ear pain and minor injuries. You can also walk in for sports physicals although we recommend a well-visit.

As always, if you want to see your doctor, you can always call to schedule an appointment with them. We always recommend you see your PCP for regular check ups, chronic problems and chronic medication management. Since this is a new idea for our office, we may make changes and adjustments over time to make it run more efficiently. We hope that this will give you easier access to your Pediatrician's office so that your child can receive the best care possible

Yearly Administration Fee

Dear Parents,

Midland Pediatric Associates’ clinicians are committed to your child’s health and wellness.

We work together closely to create the best possible experience for your family. Our goal as an independent pediatric practice is to provide the BEST medical care in a personalized way. We are the starting point for any of your health concerns, focusing on prevention, the whole-child approach to treatment, and coordination of care with specialists if needed. However, the many changes in the healthcare landscape have created a challenge for private practices – where physicians and their staff are required to spend increasing time on tasks that are not paid for by health insurance – such as phone calls, insurance authorizations, electronic prescriptions, controlled substance regulations, form completion, letters to school and coordination of care with specialists.

To focus on patient care and allow our clinicians to stay independent, we now charge an annual fee to cover these non-reimbursable administrative tasks and services.

This is above and beyond your customary insurance payment for services rendered. Unfortunately, your insurance will NOT pay these fees.

When you come to our office, you will only be seen by a board-certified Pediatrician or Nurse Practitioner. We have many urgent care appointments available each day and strive to see each patient who calls for a sick visit within 24 hours, given our walk-in hours. Keeping our patients healthy is our top priority, and we strive to make your experience with us as compassionate, kind, and stress-free as possible.

You have undoubtedly noticed that medical insurance premiums have been increasing annually, which, in turn, has caused the reimbursement to our practice from insurers to decrease each year and the costs of running the practice to increase each year substantially.

The administrative fee schedule will be:

Family with one child: $100/year
Family with two children: $125/year
Family with three (or more) children: $150/year

The yearly fee is due by December 31. This must be paid to have your children continue as patients of MPA. Please be advised that payment of the administrative fee does NOT relieve you of responsibility for payment of co-payments, deductibles, co-insurance, or other charges determined to be non-covered by your insurance plan and is NON -Refundable.

Please understand that we are not making this decision without careful thought. We value each of our families and their children and appreciate being entrusted with their care. We believe this charge will allow us to continue delivering the same high level of care as we have for the last 35 years.
