Marlena Flores CPNP
Born and raised in Midland, Texas, Marlena graduated high school in 1997 before continuing her education at Midland College, where she received both her LVN (2000) and RN (2003) degrees. She spent several years working and caring for the children of Midland and the surrounding communities while working at the pediatric unit at the hospital and for Midland schools. All while working full-time and being a single mother to an amazing son, she furthered her education at UTEP where she received her BSN (2011) and MSN with a focus on Pediatric Primary care (2014).
Marlena finds fulfillment in pediatrics because she enjoys building relationships with children and their families, providing education as they navigate different stages of life, and witnessing their growth and well-being. She believes that communication and education are key in caring for a child of any age and ensures that both the patient (age-appropriate) and their parents/guardians are involved in their care.
In her free time, Marlena enjoys attending concerts, traveling and cruising, puzzles, and spending time in the kitchen. Also enjoys listening to music, watching movies, and relaxing with a great cup of joe.
